
Selling a Business
Once our relationship with you has been established, we take the time to
understand your business and what your goals are. We then review the
financials and other related information necessary to help you establish a
value for your business. Then we help you determine what the deal terms should
be, with the goal of achieving top dollar for you.
The next step is to develop a Business Profile and Memorandum for your
business. This professionally prepared document will include all the
information needed by a genuine buyer. Locating the right buyer for a business
can be challenging. Through our local and national networks and affiliations,
we work to find the right buyer out of thousands of individuals, corporations,
and investment groups. The Memorandum will be forwarded only after qualifying
the willingness and ability of that buyer to perform the deal. We require that
all buyers sign our confidentiality agreement before receiving any information
about your business.
After we determine that a buyer may be suitable, we arrange an initial meeting
for both of you to get to know a little about each other. If you are satisfied
with the buyer's abilities, your chemistry, and the offer and terms of his
proposal, we will then proceed to the next step.
You will now allow the buyer to review the books and inspect the premises.
Concurrently, the buyer will often need assistance in finalizing his/her
financing, and we will be available to accommodate him and his lender.
When the final inspection is finished and financing has been arranged, we will
schedule the closing date with you. We will assist you to make sure all
documents are ready for signature as well as follow up on all conditions
required to complete the transaction.
